We seek to create an open and diverse environment to share and discuss novel contributions as well as classic topics in systematics and biogeography. The goal of this series is to increase the visibility of the work of colleagues around the globe and to promote interaction and discussion among a broad community.

The lectures and discussions are free of charge and open access and will take place on the second or third Thursday of each month, starting in September 2021. Starting times of the sessions will change from one month to the next to facilitate participation from Asia/Australia, Europe/Africa, and North/South America.

Each session will feature two guest speakers, with each talk being limited to 30 minutes, followed by a discussion (limitless following WHS meeting rules). We plan to record the presentations but recognize if a speaker wishes not to be recorded and post them at a later date. The discussion will not be recorded.

Our goal is to make these sessions as inclusive as possible with respect to gender, race, geography, career stage, and institutional affiliations.
